Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove St. Lynnfield
Friday, Saturdays, Sundays, April 13-21, 7 p.m, Saturday 20th also at 2 p.m.
This Easter season, Calvary Christian Church is presenting the incredible
story of the gospel through a live theatrical performance of “Bow The Knee”. This full-scale theatrical production shares the life changing power of what God has done for all of us, dying on the cross to save us from our sins, and being raised from the dead with a promise of eternal life for those who believe. The story is told from the perspective of a Roman Centurion who will discover his destiny, and witness the single greatest moment in human history.

Still Small Theatre is a local Christian ministry that uses theatre to help people connect with God’s heart (whether they know Him yet or not!). We bring plays in to churches and other ministries at low costs to serve as a tool for what they’re already doing, and this month (March 2019) we’re offering a discount on The Diary of Perpetua.
The Diary of Perpetua is the true story of an early Christian martyr, and it’s available year-round to bring to any space large enough to set up chairs.During the month of March 2019, the first 4 places to book a performance for this year will receive a 10% discount. The cost is already quite low, but we feel so strongly about getting this story out that we’re glad to offer this incentive!
In this year’s World Watch List from Open Doors, the number one trend they reported seeing is the disproportionate level of persecution against women. They’re targeted for being Christians, they’re targeted for being women, and in some places the kidnapping and enslavement of Christian women is an integral part of the strategy of militant groups.
We often promote the women’s history side of Perpetua’s story because she’s one of history’s first known female authors, and it’s a great way to connect with our New England neighbors who may be wary of religion but care passionately about women’s issues. But this report was a sobering reminder that our sisters in Christ are agonizingly living out Perpetua’s story all over the world, right now. Performances of The Diary of Perpetua allow us, together, to make their plight known, raise money for their needs, and inspire our churches to pray for them.
All you need in order to book a show is to e-mail us with a date that works for you. The first 4 places to confirm their performance dates will receive a 10% discount on our already-low fee!
We’d love to answer any questions you may have! You can also find more detailed booking information on the Still Small website
Thanks & God bless!

Music lessons can change a child’s life.
At Sound Foundations, we believe that high-quality music instruction and positive adult mentorship can be transformative. We offer free, one-on-one music lessons to all children, regardless of socio-economic status.
Piano lessons are full for the remainder of the 2018-2019 school year. However, we encourage you to sign up for our waitlist, and we will call you if a spot becomes available. While signing up for the waitlist does not 100% guarantee a spot in the future, it will automatically give you priority registration for the 2019-2020 program. Kindergarten-5th graders are eligible.
Our program includes:
- A one-on-one piano lesson each week
- Two small group music classes each month
- Music books and a borrowed keyboard (if needed)
