What Providers Need to Know
 
During this training providers who work with lay guardians – guardians who are not professional but are instead family or friends – will receive an overview of the different issues and responsibilities related to the work of guardianship, such as:
 
Capacity and Decision-making
Reasons for Guardianship
Types of Guardianship and Limitations of Guardianship
The Court Process and Duties and Responsibilities to the Court
Rights of the Person under Guardianship
Communication and Confidentiality
Ethical Decision-making
Abuse and Neglect
 
 Presenters:
