NBFW (New Beginnings for Women) Update

NBFW serves a diverse bunch of ladies, but they do share one quality in common: they recognize their spiritual brokenness, and desire to be whole in Christ. I strive to meet women where they are, and support them as they walk out their faith and grow in their knowledge and devotion to the Lord.

Currently, we meet twice a week in area churches. On Thursday night, we meet at New Life Christian Assembly in Haverhill (Pastor Rick Amendola); on Saturday night we meet at First Church of the Nazarene in Lynn (Pastor Will Winn); and, I host an intercessory prayer meeting in my home every Tuesday. There are opportunities to serve in this ministry for women willing to make a measured commitment. Contact me, if you would like to learn more about that.

There is also opportunity here for women and teens who want to minister to children. We need childcare workers who are interested in supervising the boys and girls who attend with their mothers. This is such a great need, in fact, that this week Doug told me he will forgo the NBF meeting he participates in down the street on Thursdays, in order to serve the children. I cannot say I agree with his decision, but I respect his judgment and agree the children certainly deserve the best teacher the ministry has to offer. I suppose he will get some good “grampa” practice.

Below, you will find two testimonies of women who are a part of NBFW. I hope they give you an impression of the ministry we offer. I was very blessed to read what they shared. God is so good. Both of these ladies are a blessing to the ministry themselves, which is one of the coolest thing about the work we do. We are not taking people through a program—either in NBF or NBFW—we are walking together through this life of challenges, supporting one another in love.

Please, pray for this ministry. I am believing God to raise up new leaders this year, and hope to see at least two new groups launched. We’ll see what God does, and I’ll keep you posted!

God bless you this weekend,
Caroline Gregan
